  • Asset Buyout Partners (ABP) is an industrial real estate company with a dedicated investment strategy aimed towards real estate and infrastructure assets located in Norwegian oil and gas (O&G) clusters. Mission critical infrastructure characteristics provides comfort for cash flows well beyond contracted lifetime – underpinned by attractiveness and longevity of the Norwegian O&G region. The Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) is a highly attractive and globally competitive O&G region due to a combination of access to infrastructure, a stable regulatory environment and the nature and size of the remaining resources.

    The company is owned by HitecVision, Europe’s leading specialist private equity investor focused on the O&G industry, and ABP management. Since 1994, HitecVision has invested in, acquired or established more than 150 companies (including add-on acquisitions) in the O&G industry. The combined network and experience of HitecVision and ABP provides us with intimate knowledge of the O&G industry and represents an unmatched combination in which to build Norway’s leading industrial real estate and infrastructure company.

    ABP owns a diversified portfolio of mission critical O&G assets strategically located in key NCS clusters. As of 30 June 2018, we own and manage 1.65 million square meters of land and infrastructure including piping for bulk supply, 215,000 sqm of primarily industrial facilities specialized for O&G supply base activities and 750 meters of quays. In addition, we have a combined 490,000 sqm of zoned, undeveloped land that provides expansion opportunities for existing as well as new customers.

    HitecVision and ABP have an ambition to grow the company considerably in scale over the coming years based on a substantial pipeline of accretive and highly visible organic and inorganic growth opportunities. ABP will leverage the company’s unique strategic position, scale, portfolio composition and system value to continue to build value for our customers and shareholders.

    The company has 15 full time employees with significant sector-specific expertise and relationships with leading companies in the Norwegian O&G industry. ABP is a professional landlord and seeks long-term partnerships with our customers. Our expertise extends to structuring, owning, developing, financing and managing onshore O&G assets. The company is headquartered centrally in Oslo with regional asset management teams serving our customers locally.

William W. Wittusen co-founded ABP in 2015 together with HitecVision. He has extensive experience from the real estate market in a variety of roles on the management and principal side. Before ABP, Mr. Wittusen held the position as Managing Director of Akastor Real Estate, a subsidiary of Akastor ASA, a Norway-based oil-services investment company. Prior to this, he was Head of Corporate Real Estate in Aker Solutions ASA, a global provider of products, systems and services to the oil and gas industry. He also has significant real estate structuring and investment experience from UNION Gruppen, an independent and leading real estate company within the Norwegian commercial property market and from the property investment company Mapeley in London. Mr. Wittusen graduated cum laude with a BSBA in finance and minor in economics from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA.
Karl Otto Eidem

Karl Otto Eidem joined ABP in March 2016 from DNB where he spent seven years in the Investment Banking Division working both with Leverage- and Corporate Finance. He has broad experience from the Norwegian finance market in various roles on the principal and advisory side. Prior to DNB, he was Head of Equity Research and later CEO in RS Platou Markets and CFO in Norway Seafoods. Mr. Eidem holds an MBE (Siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Management.

Erik Evjen joined ABP in May 2018 from Mongstad Group after ABP’s acquisition of the company, where he served as CFO for two years. Mr. Evjen has significant real estate experience from Mongstad, and O&G industry experience in general, based on previously held management roles in Troms Offshore (CFO) and Petrojarl (CFO), and has broad experience from investment management, M&A and strategy development working for Sector Asset Management, Teekay Shipping, PGS and Carnegie Investment Bank. Mr. Evjen holds an MSc in Economic and Business Administration (Siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
Henrik Melle

Henrik Melle joined ABP in August 2016 from a position as Manager at KPMG. He has broad experience from audit of real estate clients over several years and his experience is comprehensive within accounting, tax, VAT, transactions and reorganizations. His experience is versatile from working with a diversified portfolio including listed companies. Mr. Melle is a State Authorized Public Accountant and holds a BSc in Business and Administration and an MSc in Accounting and Auditing from BI Norwegian Business School.

Line Thorbjørnsen joined ABP in June 2018. She has four years of work experience as an auditor in the finance department in EY. From EY she has experience in particular with clients in banking and asset management. Line is a State Authorized Public Accountant with two master degrees from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), one MSc in Financial economics and one MSc in Accounting and Auditing.

Andreas Tronsgård joined ABP in August 2019. He has five years of work experience from PE-backed Villa Paradiso Group and Paradiso Eiendom, as a controller and business consultant. He has a versatile experience from system implementation, restructuring to budgeting and liquidity control for small and medium-sized enterprises. Mr. Tronsgård has previous credit consulting experience from Schibsted and holds a BSc in Financial Economics from HiOA and an MSc in Economics and Business Administration (Siviløkonom) from Oslo Metropolitan University with emphasis on Financial Economics.

Jenny has experience from ABB and their shipping and logistics department. From a start-up company within the health-sector she holds experience as an administration coordinator.

Arthur Havrevold Lie joined ABP in August 2019 from a position as Partner and Head of Valuation at Cushman & Wakefield Realkapital, where he was overall responsible for the company’s valuation services, comprising over 2,000 valuations exceeding NOK 600bn in value p.a. Mr. Lie has extensive experience from all facets of the Norwegian real estate sector and serviced the major public and private real estate companies on an ongoing basis. He is also MRICS and REV certified. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Lie held positions at DNB as an internal strategy consultant and Global Trainee for EMEA in American Express based in England. Arthur holds an MA in Management from University of St Andrews.

From Carnegie, Mr. Bratfos has broad M&A experience from various transactions within the oil service sector, including acquisition of Schlumberger’s Marine Seismic Acquisition Business by Shearwater GeoServices and divestment of 51% of Island Offshore Subsea to TechnipFMC. Mr. Bratfos holds an MSc in finance from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and Columbia University.

Kjell Kallestad Stople joined ABP in May 2018 from Mongstad Group after ABP’s acquisition of the company, where he served as COO. Mr. Stople has extensive O&G and energy industry experience from previous management roles working with high level business development, M&A and asset management both in the Nordics and internationally. Mr. Stople holds an Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School (BI), and a BSc in Engineering from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL).

Kristoffer Bille Selmer joined ABP in December 2019. He has 10 years experience from the real estate and construction industry, most recently as Project Manager at Oslo Areal. Before this Mr. Selmer was Project Manager at the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency (Forsvarsbygg) and Construction Site Manager at Veidekke Entreprenør Bygg. Mr. Selmer holds a MSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Sivilingeniør) from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and The University of Karlsruhe in Germany.

Kenneth Molland Halhjem joined ABP in July 2018 from Experis Engineering where he was technical consultant to Mongstad Group and a part of the asset management team since December 2016. Mr. Halhjem has worked in the O&G industry in various capacities since 2005, with special emphasis on technical integrity assessment and asset management. Mr. Halhjem holds a B.Eng in mechanical engineering from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

Martin Berg-Johnsen joined ABP in October 2017. Since 2015 Mr. Berg-Johnsen has filled the role as Property Manager at Malling & Co, where he has been responsible for a large real estate portfolio in Norway. He has broad experience from various aspects of real estate management, including profit improvement, lease contracts, M&A, common cost, budgeting and general follow-up of owners and tenants. Berg-Johnsen holds an MSc in financial economics from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
